The next phase of Mission Uttar Pradesh will begin from February 3rd, Appeal to punish the anti-farmer BJP
Samyukta Kisan Morcha will endorse and support the call for nationwide strike on February 23 and 24 by the trade unions
SKM warns against using the name of Samyukta Kisan Morcha in the assembly elections
On the call of Samyukta Kisan Morcha, “Day of Betrayal” will be observed across the country on 31st January and large protest demonstrations will be organized at district and block level. All the farm unions associated with the Morcha will observe this protest with great intensity. And it is expected that this program will be organized in at least 500 districts of the country. It should be noted that this decision was taken by the Samyukta Kisan Morcha in its meeting on 15th January to protest against the deceit meted out to the farmers. In these protest demonstrations, a memorandum will also be submitted to the Union Government. The preparation for this program was reviewed in the meeting of the coordination committee of Samyukta Kisan Morcha today.
The anti-farmer stand of the government is evident from the fact that even after the decision of January 15th, the Government of India has not fulfilled any of the promises made in its letter of December 9th. No action has been taken in the last two weeks on the promise of immediate withdrawal of the cases filed during the agitation and compensation to the families of the martyrs. The government has not announced the formation of a committee on the issue of MSP. Therefore, the Morcha has called upon the farmers across the country to convey their anger to the government through the “Day of Betrayal”.
The Samyukta Kisan Morcha has made it clear that “Mission Uttar Pradesh” will continue, through which this anti-farmer regime will be taught a lesson. Under this, a call will be made to the people of Uttar Pradesh to punish the Bharatiya Janata Party for not sacking and arresting Ajay Mishra Teni, the betrayal of the farmers by the Union Government and the anti-farmer policies of the Uttar Pradesh Government. To operationalize this campaign, a new phase of the mission will be announced through a press conference on 3rd February. Under this, a message to punish the BJP will be conveyed by all the organizations of SKM through literature distribution, press conference, social media and public meetings throughout the state.
The Morcha reiterated that it fully endorses and supports the nationwide strike called by Central Trade Unions on 23 and 24 February for issues such as the withdrawal of the four anti-labour codes, as well as for the MSP for the farmers and against privatization. There is no room for any confusion in this regard.
With regard to elections in Punjab and other states, the Morcha has made it clear that the name, banner or platform of the Samyukta Kisan Morcha will not be used by any political party or candidate. Disciplinary action will be taken by the Morcha against those who do so.
