AAP’s Karol Bagh MLA Shri Vishesh Ravi wrote to the Lieutenant Governor of Delhi today and urged him to stop North MCD from selling the land belonging to Jhandewalan Chest Clinic and Qutubgarh Dispensary Complex for free.
The MLA said that sale of lands belonging to North MCD is a gross violation of DMC Act and should be stopped at all costs. “After a failed first EOI, the North MCD run has again raised Expression Of Interest (EOI) dated 02.02.2022 for selling Municipal land to the NGOs of individuals from the BJP,” said Shri Vishesh Ravi.
The MLA added that North DMC has cleverly mentioned only 400-500 sq.m on the document whereas the total area at Jhandewalan Clinic is 3700 sq.m. On the condition of anonymity, the Staff at the Clinic told this to me personally during my visit at the facility. He added that the Staff informed him that at present, the Centre caters to 300-400 patients daily, to 28 nearby dispensaries.
The staff also alleged BJP run North DMC had earlier deliberately shut a Homeopathic Clinic run by North MCD and a Malaria Clinic/Office of North MCD which was deliberately closed/demolished to pave the way for this 3700 sq.m at this site.L which is to be given to a NGO having connections/run by a BJP leader.
This shows blatant misuse of power by the BJP run North Delhi Municipal Corporation to rob the public of its resources to benefit a select few of the BJP and with this move, the North Delhi Municipal Corporation aims to hand over the land to BJP leaders in the garb of handing it over to some NGOs, said Shri Vishesh Ravi.
