Cabinet Minister Imran Hussain directed BSES officials to identify the dark spots in consultation with the residents for installing new high mast lights

Cabinet Minister and MLA of Ballimaran Shri Imran Hussain today visited the area falling under ward 90 municipal ward in the assembly constituency to review the various ongoing developmental works. During the area visit, officers of the Public Works Department, BSES, Municipal Corporation of Delhi, Delhi Jal Board, Revenue Department and Officers of Delhi Police along with eminent personalities of the area were also present.
During the field inspection at FarasKhana Road of Ballimaran assembly constituency, the Minister took stock of various projects and development works in the area. He noticed the spreading of sewer waters on the road at certain places and directed the DJB and MCD officials to expedite the drainage maintenance work on a regular and priority basis to avoid waterlogging and ensure disposal of filth in the area especially to ensure cleanliness in the area. The Minister also inspected the water boring work being done by Delhi Jal Board and directed to complete the work expeditiously in view of the water requirements in the coming summer season. He also instructed the officials of PWD and MCD to ensure expeditious repair and gear up for construction work of damaged roads so that residents do not face inconvenience in the area.
The Minister also reviewed the ongoing development works of DJB under the assembly constituency with an estimated cost of Rs. 90 Lakhs in which Development work consists of a sewer line of Pahar Wali Gali, sewer line of Moolchand school to Chamelian Chowk, the waterline of Pahadwali and Kuda Khatta, sewer line of Kabristan Chamelian road, the waterline of Kumhar wali, Teliyan and Lallan wali and renovation and maintenance of Pahari Dheeraj UGR, Quresh Nagar are being carried out. Shri Imran Hussain assured the residents that they won’t have to face any more water supply and sewerage-related issues. The Minister said that repairing and laying a new sewer line will give much-needed relief to the residents of the Ballimaran assembly constituency.
The Minister’s attention was also drawn to the non-functioning of street lights at a few locations. The Minister on spot directed the BSES officials to identify the dark spots in consultation with the residents for installing new high mast lights and refitment of non-functional street lights in the Ballimaran assembly constituency. During the field visit, various queries and grievances of residents related to the new electricity meter connection with alleged inflated electricity bills were also addressed. Few residents also met with the Minister during the visit with pension-related grievances, on which the Minister desired to convene a review meeting of the concerned Department to settle the grievances related to pending cases of pension scheme in a time-bound manner. Shri Imran Hussain also interacted with residents of the area who expressed satisfaction with the works and welfare schemes of the Kejriwal government.
