Victory in Punjab has sent a strong message in Southern States, people desperate to join AAP: AAP Tamil Nadu Joint Secretary Sudha

NEW DELHI / TELANGANA

After a tremendous run in Punjab and Goa, AAP has set eyes out towards the South. The party has kicked off membership campaigns throughout the region. AAP will hold massive padyatras in the southern states and aims to target every assembly constituency. AAP Senior Leader and Telangana In-charge Shri Somnath Bharti announced the same while stating — We are receiving an unprecedented response in South India after AAP’s success in Punjab. People are getting attracted by the Kejriwal Model of work and commitment and leaving behind hate politics. Our First padyatra will be held in Telangana on April 14 to mark Babasaheb Ambedkar’s birth anniversary. Through this padyatra we will take the politics of Kejriwal Ji and the ideals of Babasaheb and Saheed-e-Azam Bhagat Singh to every resident of the region. AAP Tamil Nadu State Joint Secretary Ms Sudha and Telangana Search Committee Chairperson Ms Indira Sobhan were also present during the announcement.

MLA Shri Somnath Bharti said, “For the first time in history, such an incredible mandate has been awarded by the public in Punjab to a young party like AAP. This mandate has proven that Indians want to go beyond the politics of hate and want to opt for the Kejriwal Model. It is the result of AAP’s roars all over the country that those who commit corruption have started fearing for themselves and their parties. After AAP’s thunderous victory in Punjab, people from the Southern regions of India have started showing interest in the politics of the Aam Aadmi Party. One such call for change can be seen coming from Telangana. The state was formed after a 60 year long struggle and countless sacrifices. But ever since the KCR Government was formed, they’ve only played with the emotions of those who fought for the state. KCR made three huge promises to the SC community during the agitation — of giving a SC CM, of giving land to all families and of making a 125ft tall statue of Dr BR Ambedkar. He failed miserably on all three fronts. His failures don’t limit themselves here, they go way beyond this to failing at job creation, not recruiting assistant professors and mishandling Vidya Volunteers, field assistants and the list goes on and on.”

He added, “Seeing the mood of Telangana and the whole of South India and taking into account the response our teams in the South have been receiving, we decided to kick off membership campaigns throughout the region. Under the leadership of our local teams, these campaigns will be actively penetrating deep into Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Puducherry, Andaman-Nicobar and Lakshadweep. I call upon all those who feel the need to bring a change in Indian politics to join AAP and be a part of this revolution. At the same time, I also warn all those who want to ride on our wave in greed of benefits to stay away from the party as we only take those who have pious intentions. I welcome all those with positive mindsets and clear intentions who are being suffocated by their own parties to leave them and join AAP. We have proven how strong our revolution is in Punjab and in Delhi. Kejriwal Ji’s politics leaves behind the equations of caste-religion and hate and banks upon work and commitment. It is only him who can change the Indian political system for good forever.”

He concluded. “Aam Aadmi Party will take out Padyatras throughout Southern India. This sequence will begin on 14th April on Dr BR Ambedkar’s birth anniversary with our first Padyatra in Telangana. We will cover each and every assembly of the region. Through this padyatra we will take the politics of Kejriwal Ji and the ideals of Babasaheb and Bhagat Singh to every resident of the region. We will highlight the difference AAP has made in the lives of all those who live in Delhi and hope to receive a positive response from the public for our positive politics.”

AAP Tamil Nadu State Joint Secretary Ms Sudha, “The victory in Punjab has sent a strong message in Southern States. The people back in the South are extremely against the policies of the BJP and the Central Government. Especially in Tamil Nadu, the farmers are totally against the Centre and even in the water-resources problem the Centre has played out a very cunning role. We do have an education system in place in Tamil Nadu too, but if you question the standard, it is nowhere close to Delhi’s. In Andhra Pradesh too the situation is not too different. It looks like people there voted for Jaggan Reddy but have gotten a BJP-style rule instead. The South definitely needs a change and now is the time to push for it.”
