F&S Minister Imran Hussain directs education department to expedite efforts towards providing world class facilities to students of Delhi
F&S Minister Imran Hussain asks officers to introduce primary classes in Chasma School Building in English Medium with Urdu as one of the subjects

Food & Civil Supplies Minister and MLA of Ballimaran, Shri Imran Hussain today chaired a meeting with DDE Central, DDE North, DD Zone 7 &27 along with Heads of various Government Schools of the Ballimaran assembly constituency. The Minister reviewed the progress of various issues and facilities provided to the school children. He also directed the concerned authorities to expedite the efforts towards converting the classrooms into smart classrooms, providing modern sports facilities, multi-purpose halls and other infrastructure of the school to strengthen the education system.
The F&S Minister directed the introduction of primary classes in Chasma Building School in English medium with Urdu as one of the subjects. He also directed the officers to check the feasibility of introducing science stream as per department norms along with availability of eligible and willing students. The Minister appreciated that the Chashma Building School has started the English Medium section in 6th standard, which will hugely benefit the students. During the meeting, the F & S Minister directed the Officers of the Education Department to take necessary steps for the primary wing from class nursery in the government school in Zeenat Mahal.
Shri Imran Hussain also directed for the removal of encroachments adjacent to Government Girls Senior Secondary School on Idgah Road with the help of PWD and civic agencies. He expressed the need of a second shift in Sarvodaya Co-ed School, Qureshnagar to cater to the educational needs of the residents of the locality.
Keeping in view the ongoing summer season, the F&S Minister also asked the school authorities to ensure clean drinking water facilities for the students and the staff of the school. He directed for proper maintenance and replacement of non-functional water coolers installed in school premises. The F&S Minister took stock of the facilities provided by each school authority and directed to strengthen the basic facilities to upgrade themselves at the earliest.
Shri Imran Hussain also lauded the education department of the Delhi government for its incredible achievements over the last seven years. Over the last few years, the Delhi education model has become well known and has been lauded throughout the country. Under the visionary leadership of Shri Arvind Kejriwal, the Delhi Government has increased Delhi’s education budget to 25% and worked since day one to transform the Education system in Delhi.
In order to serve the high population density of the area, the F & S Minister directed the Education Department to study the feasibility for the construction of new classrooms and academic blocks in the schools. Shri Imran Hussain also desired that additional classrooms be constructed on the Land of Government Girls Senior Secondary School in Chashma Building that was released from the clutches of land mafia which was unlawfully captured by them. He directed the officials to ensure that the school classrooms should be equipped with modern infrastructure and have the best modern facilities for the students.
