We thought good governance only existed in books but CM Arvind Kejriwal has made it happen in Delhi; Jammu Kashmir needs the same model of good governance now: Harshdev

NEW DELHI / JAMMU & KASHMIR:

People are actively joining the Aam Aadmi Party as a result of the historic work being done by the Kejriwal Government in all areas, including schools, hospitals, energy, water, roads, and WiFi. In this order, Senior AAP leader and MP Shri Sanjay Singh today inducted Panthers Party Chairman Harshdev, State President Rajesh Pargotra, State Secretaries Gagan Pratap and Purshottam, and Panthers Party Delhi Chief Sudesh Dogra, as well as many others from Jammu into the party. AAP PAC Member Shri Durgesh Pathak and Jammu-Kashmir Election Incharge Shri Imran Hussain welcomed everyone to the party with caps and patkas. Shri Gaurav and Shri Salahuddin, the recently appointed AAP Jammu and Kashmir in-charges, were also present on the occasion.

MP Shri Sanjay Singh stated, “today marks the beginning of a new chapter in Jammu and Kashmir politics for the Aam Aadmi Party. Today, all of the Panthers Party’s powerful leaders, ministers, and executives who are involved in Jammu and Kashmir’s politics have joined the Aam Aadmi Party family. Panthers Party Chairman Harshdev, State President Rajesh Pargotra, State Secretaries Gagan Pratap and Purshottam, and Panthers Party Delhi Chief Sudesh Dogra are joining the AAP with their teams. I warmly welcome everyone into the Aam Aadmi Party.”

He added, “Harshdev is a three time MLA from Jammu and Kashmir. He served as an MLA for 18 years owing to the 6-year term in the state. During his three-year tenure as the education minister from 2002 to 2005, he built more schools than there had been since independence. He established 22 degree colleges and 11,000 schools in this period. Organisations such as Harvard University bestowed their highest honours on him for this feat. An education minister, legislator, and MLA, with such records and on top of it, he was also named the best MLA. He is also the chairman of the Panthers Party.”

Upon joining the Aam Aadmi Party, Shri Harshdev stated, “The Aam Aadmi Party’s work is being discussed all over India. People in every state recognise the importance of the role AAP played in providing facilities such as education, health, electricity, and water in Delhi and Punjab. In Jammu and Kashmir, similar changes are required. People in Jammu and Kashmir have been denied basic amenities for many years; however, these amenities can be provided if corruption gets eliminated, and the good governance that we often read about only in books, which CM Shri Arvind Kejriwal has made possible in Delhi, also be provided to Jammu and Kashmir. All problems can be solved only when a good government is in place, and only AAP can deliver that.”
