AAP National Convenor Arvind Kejriwal leads AAP’s massive Tiranga Yatra in Mehsana, Gujarat
NEW DELHI/GUJARAT:
AAP National Convenor and Delhi Chief Minister Shri Arvind Kejriwal led a massive Tiranga Yatra in Mehsana, Gujarat in the run-up to the upcoming state polls. AAP’s Tiranga Yatra was the convergence of the party’s Parivartan Yatras that touched every constituency of Gujarat from six different directions over the course of 20 days. During the Tiranga Yatra, CM Shri Arvind Kejriwal called for change and said, “Gujarat wants change; people of Gujarat are fed up with BJP & Congress. AAP has emerged as a ray of hope for the people of Gujarat. BJP’s Panna Pramukh may be on CR Patil’s payroll but they will work for the AAP. Locals are coming to AAP saying BJP threatens them instead of doing their work; there’s an atmosphere of fear throughout Gujarat. People of Gujarat should drop all their fears and side with AAP; Gujarat is ready for change now; there’s only one solution to BJP’s harassment — Aam Aadmi Party. The Aam Aadmi Party has committed itself to the cause of deshbhakti and honesty; BJP fears AAP because we are ‘Honest Deshbhakts’. CR Patil says Kejriwal is a Maha-Thug; can the man who gives free electricity-water, provides excellent education-healthcare ever be a thug? AAP is rapidly expanding throughout Gujarat; AAP’s gaining strength in every ward, every booth across all villages and towns. I appeal to the Gujarat Government to accept all demands of the protesting ex-servicemen and provide Rs 1 crore as Samman Rashi to all martyrs of the state”.
An unprecedented crowd participated in the AAP’s Tiranga Yatra in Mehsana, Gujarat today under the leadership of AAP National Convenor and Delhi CM Shri Arvind Kejriwal. People came in large numbers from every corner of Gujarat with the tricolour flag in their hands filled with the spirit of patriotism. On this occasion, AAP’s Gujarat State Convenor Shri Gopal Italia, Shri Isudan Gadhvi and other dignitaries including senior leaders of Aam Aadmi Party were present.
AAP National Convenor and Delhi Chief Minister Shri Arvind Kejriwal addressed the Tiranga Yatra among rousing chants of Bharat Mata Ki Jai and Vande Matram and said, “For the last 20 days, AAP’s Parivartan Yatra has truly led Gujarat towards the path of change. We started from six different corners of Gujarat, covering every village and town on our way to converge in Mehsana. Our Yatra covered all 182 constituencies of Gujarat, while getting to know what the people want. The firm conclusion out of this historic movement is that Gujarat wants change. The people of Gujarat have lost their faith in BJP. They have lost any hope they had in BJP’s sister party Congress. Seeing our 24×7 free electricity scheme in Delhi, now Gujarat has started asking for it too. Today Delhi gets free electricity all day all night without a single power cut, so will Gujarat very soon. Delhi boasts of an unparalleled education system, so will Gujarat very soon. Delhi has fantastic Mohalla Clinics and free world-class healthcare, so will Gujarat very soon.”
He attacked the BJP’s politics of hate and violence and called AAP the sole remedy to the woes BJP has inflicted on Gujarat. He continued, “On one side, Gujarat was asking us to bring change. On the other side, came a plea from their hearts. The people of Gujarat are in pain because of BJP’s hooliganism. BJP leaders are useless, everyone knows it, but today they’re threatening people, refusing to do their work. Be it villages or cities, people say that the moment they speak out against the BJP, their henchmen resort to violence and suppress people’s voice. I want to appeal to the people of Gujarat. Drop all your fears, side with AAP. We are here to treat all your woes and offer Gujarat peace and dignity. There’s only one solution to break BJP’s ego — Aam Aadmi Party. BJP fears no one in the world but the Aam Aadmi Party. Our leaders terrorise their sleep.”
The AAP National Convenor went ahead criticising the BJP Government questioning the competency of CR Patil. Upon this, Shri Isudan Gadhvi reminded Shri Arvind Kejriwal that the CM of the state is Bhupendra Patel. To which he replied that it doesn’t matter who the CM is, CR Patil micromanages the government. He added, “There’s no hiding from this fact that CR Patil is the behind the scenes CM of Gujarat. He is remote controlling the whole administration. Bhupendra Patel is just a placeholder. Despite all his might, CR Patil does not have the courage to take my name. He’ll say all sorts of nonsense like ‘someone comes from Delhi, he is a Maha-Thug’. I ask Patil Sahab, why do you fear me? Why can’t you say Kejriwal is a thug if you really believe so? Why do you shy away from us? I want to ask the people of Gujarat. Do I seem like a thug to you? I give world-class education to the children. I ensure the best healthcare for all citizens. I supply water & electricity for free. I make people’s lives less hassled. What right do they have to call me a thug? Isn’t CR Patil the real Maha-Thug? CR Patil can’t even muster up the courage to name me. I challenge CR Patil — if you have even an ounce of courage in you, take my name when you criticise me tomorrow.”
He questioned why the BJP was manhandling media channels to act as per their will and added, “The BJP people threaten media personnel too. They force them to have AAP on debate panels on the TV news. I ask them — do you fear the AAP so much that you wet your pants seeing us? They are so scared of the AAP that they called a channel while on-air to have AAP’s spokesperson removed from TV. I want to ask them not to threaten the media. They’re good people doing diligent work. Patil Sahab, come out if you have the might and threaten Kejriwal if you can. Threaten the AAP if you dare to.” The Delhi CM went on to explain why the BJP fears AAP and said that they’re scared of AAP’s commitment to Deshbhakti and honesty. “AAP is expanding rapidly in Gujarat. AAP wings have won the hearts of every village, every town of Gujarat. AAP is getting strengthened in every ward and booth today. Unprecedented crowds are joining the AAP en-masse,” he said.
Shri Arvind Kejriwal further called spade on BJP’s Panna Pramukh strategy. He explained that BJP employs people on payrolls to look after the voters on each sheet of the electoral roll and force them to vote for BJP. “There won’t be any relevance to BJP’s Panna Pramukhs this time. They might be on BJP’s payrolls but this time, even they’ll work to make AAP win.”
He added, “When I landed in Ahmedabad, I got to know that thousands of ex-servicemen were protesting there. It wasn’t a good sight to see. In Delhi, if any police or army personnel gets martyred on the line of duty, AAP’s Delhi Government gives them an ex-gratia of Rs 1 crore as Samman Rashi. On the other hand, in Gujarat, the government barely gives them one lac rupees. On behalf of the ex-servicemen, I call upon the Gujarat Government to accept all their demands as well as implement the Rs 1 crore Samman Rashi scheme here.”
