Samsung Galaxy Tab A8 10.5 features
If the name hasn’t given it already, the Galaxy Tab A8 10.5 features a slightly larger 10.5-inch display over the Tab A7’s smaller 10.4-inch display. This 10.5-inch display features an IPS LCD panel with a resolution of 1920 x 1200 pixels in an aspect ratio of 16:10. A set of four speakers sit on the sides for a stereo audio effect.
Samsung does not reveal the name of the chipset but says it offers 10 percent faster performance in both CPU and GPU. Many say that Samsung is using the Unisoc Tiger T618 chipset with superior Cortex-A75 cores over the Coretx-A73 cores of the Snapdragon 662. You get up to 4GB RAM and 128GB of onbaord storage with the Tab A8 10.5
The tablet runs on Samsung’s One UI 3.1.1 based on Android and gets the drag and drop feature. When it comes to the cameras, the Galaxy Tab A8 gets a 5MP camera on the front for video calls and an 8MP camera on the rear for photos or scanning documents, or AR stuff.
You get the Tab A8 in Wi-Fi only and LTE variants. There’s a USB-C port and a 3.5mm headphone jack. The whole package relies on a 7040mAh battery and while it supports up to 15W wired charging, you get a 7.5W charger in the box.
