It is a well known fact that the BJP thrives on the model of peddling hate. Be it across religious lines, caste lines or class lines, BJP’s hate factory does its best to spread hate so it can divide and rule. Today, AAP Chief Spokesperson and MLA Shri Saurabh Bhardwaj delved into how the BJP is propagating hate amongst the trader community against the Delhi Government. He stated — BJP’s Central Government is remote controlling the Delhi LG to make the public suffer because of Weekend Curfew and Odd Even restrictions. When Omicron had arrived in Delhi, the BJP itself was slandering the Delhi Government and asking to shut shops by making pictures of crowded markets viral. Shri Saurabh Bhardwaj said, “The impact of Coronavirus is such that throughout the globe all governments try to work with full cooperation. Yet, the BJP, acting in its true nature, has been trying to find avenues to politicise the whole corona situation for the last two years. We saw in the last two years that no matter how difficult the situation was, the MLAs, MPs and Councillors of the AAP went down to the streets of Delhi to stand shoulder to shoulder with the public. This is the same time when no one knew the whereabouts of all the BJP MPs of Delhi. When there was an oxygen crisis in the city, not one BJP MP tried to help the people. Even when Omicron is hitting the country at its peak, the BJP has remained firm upon its stance of low-blow politics. One will get to know their multi-facedness the moment they watch their press conferences or open the twitter handles of BJP Delhi or Ramvir Bidhuri.”
He continued, “When Omicron first arrived it was the BJP and its people who were slandering the Delhi Government over crowded markets. The BJP workers took to local colony whatsapp groups to spread their propaganda. It was those who are on BJP payrolls who made these viral throughout India. It wasn’t like Gujarat, Uttar Pradesh or Madhya Pradesh’s markets were not crowded. It was a deliberate attempt to malign the image of Delhi, the people who reside here and their elected government. BJP leader Ramvir Bidhuri himself asked why the government was not imposing restrictions upon markets. Taking cognisance of the matter, the government imposed amicable restrictions like night curfew, weekend curfews and odd-even in markets. Now the moment these restrictions were imposed the same people of the BJP who demanded these steps, started another slander campaign. These people started spreading false propaganda saying Arvind Kejriwal is hurting business through covid curbs. They said all kinds of nonsense about the government in whatsapp groups and social media. The same Ramvir Bidhuri who called for the curbs then asked the LG to lift the curbs accusing the government of hurting livelihoods. You could see the BJP’s herd mentality being propelled throughout social media, be it Satish Upadhyay, BJP’s traders cells, its trade arms in the Confederation of All India Traders, Lajpat Nagar Traders Association and the like.”
He further added, “The hypocrisy of the BJP is exactly why the Delhi Government held a very well-intentioned press conference. The Deputy CM contended that with the situation having significantly improved it is only logical for the weekend curfew and the odd-even system to be lifted. But the BJP-nominated LG refused to accept this demand. I just now want to know from the BJP when they are going to head to the LG house for a dharna? Will they be raising slogans against the LG? Will those on BJP payrolls now challenge and slander the LG for ruining businesses? The BJP is full of shrewd minds. The way they spread Hindu-Muslim & Hindu-Sikh Hate they also spread Trader-Non Trader Class Hate. Their workers masquerading as traders spread false propaganda against the Kejriwal Government.”
Shri Bhardwaj continued, “Ramesh Khanna of the BJP Trader Cell spoke all sorts of nonsense about the government and the curbs. The BJP’s hate peddlers then went ahead to make the video viral calling it the pleas of a common trader so they could slander the government. Ramesh Khanna said that they’ll call upon a maha-panchayat to decide the fate of the curbs if the odd-even system is now lifted. The BJP’s LG only has refused to agree to their demands; so I want to ask him and Adesh Gupta when they are planning to hold this panchayat because AAP would love to send a representation to it supporting the lifting of the curbs. They said they are ready regardless of whether they have to face police cases, lathicharge or even if they are hanged to death, they are ready to make the sacrifice. However we all know that the BJP is not a big believer of sacrifice and has always preferred to run away by apologising, we still want to know if the BJP will call a panchayat against their own LG?”
Shri Bhardwaj concluded, “What must be noted is that it is now that logical sense has prevailed upon the BJP. Now they are also asking if Corona only spreads within the geographical bounds of Delhi? Or if Corona has to pay toll tax so it doesn’t go outside Delhi? Why do we not see Corona cases in Noida, Greater Noida, Faridabad, Gurgaon, Ghaziabad? We all know the virus is spreading there too. But the BJP government is hellbent on not reporting the figures even if the public has to suffer.”
