Influenced by the progress oriented politics by the Aam Aadmi Party under the leadership of National Convenor and Delhi CM Shri Arvind Kejriwal, eminent leaders from all walks of life are leaving behind petty politics and corruption and joining the revolutionary movement started by AAP. After a clean sweep in Punjab, the Aam Aadmi Party has developed a strong presence in the state and is rapidly looking to expand its influence over other states throughout the country. In the episode, a large chunk of Congress’s Himachal wing switched to AAP today in the presence of AAP Himachal Pradesh Election-Incharge and Delhi Cabinet Minister Shri Satyendar Jain. Congress Leader Shri Manish Thakur joined AAP among a sea of followers inspired by the Kejriwal Model of Governance. On this occasion, Shri Jain said that the party is receiving an overwhelmingly spectacular response from throughout Himachal Pradesh and people are ready to vote for change.

AAP’s Himachal Pradesh Election In-charge and Cabinet Minister Shri Satyendar Jain stated, “A week ago the Aam Aadmi Party decided that it will contest all 68 seats in the Himachal Pradesh Assembly elections. I had made this declaration in the state capital Shimla as well. Following that, we have received an overwhelmingly spectacular response from throughout the state. Many young and vigilant leaders from across Himachal Pradesh have come forward today to join the Aam Aadmi Party. All those leaders who mean well and want to transform the politics of the state are welcome to join this revolution.”

“In this vein, Shri Manish Thakur, who is one of the many significant names joining our AAP family today, has been the State President of Youth Congress after joining the NSUI in 1998. He has held a lot of noteworthy positions in the organisation prior to his presidency, including – Campus President, NSUI at PG College Solan, State General Secretary NSUI, PYC General Secretary, LYC President Shimla, IYC Secretary, IYC General Secretary, until his final position as the State President. He is one of most outstanding youth leaders from the Congress Party, who, along with others like him, are highly influenced and motivated by the form of governance that Delhi CM Shri Arvind Kejriwal has brought about,” he added.
