NEW DELHI
Seeing BJP’s unhinged havoc & hooliganism in Delhi, Deputy Chief Minister Shri Manish Sisodia has appealed to all MLAs to fight back & support the public against BJP’s extortion threats. The Deputy CM has written to all MLAs asking them to come to the aid of the public by combating BJP’s Gunda Raj, saying the real reason behind BJP’s bulldozer politics is their lust for money. “BJP has decided to extort as much money as it can in its final days in MCD. They are threatening people of demolishing their homes & shops,” said Shri Sisodia. Reacting to the incident, Chief Minister Shri Arvind Kejriwal said, “we are receiving several such complaints from all over Delhi. The public won’t tolerate this type of blatant extortion and hooliganism.” The CM further attacked the BJP and asked if this is why the MCD elections have been postponed by them. The Deputy CM further stated, “AAP Government vehemently condemns BJP’s blatant hooliganism. We stand in support of all Delhiites. The moment MLAs get to know of such a case they must catch hold of the extortionists and hand them over to the police.”
Sharing the letter on Twitter, the Deputy Chief Minister said, “As BJP prepares to leave the MCD, it has decided to extort as much money as it can from people. BJP goons are giving baseless threats to the shop owners and landlords of Delhi. I have written a letter to my MLAs asking them to stand with the people of Delhi against this hooliganism of BJP.”
Reacting to the letter against the extortion rackets being run by the BJP, the CM tweeted, “Receiving several such complaints from all over Delhi. The people of Delhi will not tolerate this type of blatant extortion and hooliganism. Is this why the MCD elections have been postponed?”
Addressing the MLAs Shri Manish Sisodia wrote, “We are getting complaints from many people that the leaders of the Bharatiya Janata Party are now going to homes and shops of Delhiites and threatening people that if they do not pay a certain amount in bribes, they will get bulldozers run at their houses too. People have come and complained to me personally, in my assembly constituency Patparganj as well. It is taking place in the colonies and societies there too. I have also received complaints from societies in areas like Green Park. People are very scared at the moment. Seeing the rampant hooliganism of the Bharatiya Janata Party, the people are afraid to come forward in fear that they may actually demolish their homes and shops.”
He continued, “I have come to know that while in its last days in the municipal corporation, the Bharatiya Janata Party has decided to amass as much ill-gotten wealth as it can. Shop owners and landlords all over Delhi are being threatened by the goons of the Bharatiya Janata Party. They are being blackmailed and harassed by their men.”
The Deputy CM further wrote, “It is not difficult for them to find any shortcomings in any house or shop built in Delhi. In almost all the houses, the municipal corporation will flag minor mistakes, whether it is about the size of someone’s balcony, whether it is a matter of covering the balcony, making an extra room or about any civil work done in the shop. BJP has started extortion all over Delhi by threatening people with bulldozer action. These people are threatening the public by going to their homes, asking them for money and they are threatening them saying that if the people do not give money, then they will demolish the shop or house immediately. The Aam Aadmi Party strongly condemns this hooliganism of Bharatiya Janata Party. This type of blatant hooliganism will never be tolerated by the people of Delhi.”
He concluded, “I appeal to all the MLAs to help the public and stand against this illegitimate extortion racket being run by the Bharatiya Janata Party. Tell the residents of your constituency that the Delhi Government and the Aam Aadmi Party are standing in support of them. If such a case comes to the notice of any MLA, then they should help the people and catch hold of the extortionists of BJP and hand them over to the police, as well as bring such cases to the notice of the government immediately.”
