NEW DELHI
AAP’s Shramik Vikas Sangathan inducted the Haryana Parivahan Karamchari Sangh President Krishan Gurana with his supporters today and constituted a new working body. Welcoming the new members, AAP MP Shri Sushil Gupta stated, “Discriminatory policies being adopted by the Haryana Government against the employees of Haryana Transport. Shramik Vikas Sangathan will duly protect the interests of the Haryana Transport employees and help them in every way possible. While Krishan Gurana said, “Haryana Government is not taking our demands seriously, we even went on strike, but our demands were not met. Impressed by the work done by the Kejriwal Government for DTC employees in Delhi, we have decided to align our union with Shramik Vikas Sangathan.
Senior AAP Leader and Rajya Sabha MP Shri Sushil Gupta said, Haryana Parivahan Karamchari Sangh President Krishna Gurana and his colleagues Anil Kumar Lohari, Mahendra Soni, Shiv Kumar, Praveen Jamadi, Vikram Singh, Vinod Kumar, Lavkesh Kumar Jangra, Kuldeep Lohari, Billu Moth and the entire Haryana Transport Employees Union have today decided to associate with the Aam Aadmi Party’s Shramik Vikas Sangathan. Discriminatory policy are being implemented against the workers in Haryana today. The workers are being exploited. To raise the voice against this, their Union is getting associated with the Shramik Vikas Sangathan. I give full assurance that Shramik Vikas Sangathan, Haryana will duly protect the interests of the transport workers and help them in every way possible.”
At the same time, Krishan Gurana said, “we have worked for many years within the ranks of Haryana Roadways. I have also worked with BMS for a few years. For a few years we also worked in Mahasangh, which is the organization of Haryana Roadways workers. Our government is bent towards privatisation and our demands are not being taken seriously. We went on strike many times, but the government did not accept our demands. The fleet of Haryana Roadways has reduced a lot of buses. The population of Haryana is increasing and the government is not providing buses in the fleet of roadways. We have also staged demonstrations and strikes several times for our demands. Still, the government did not accept our demands. We are very impressed by the way CM Shri Arvind Kejriwal has worked for DTC workers in Delhi and the work done for the employees as soon as the government came to Punjab. Therefore, we have high hopes from the Shramik Vikas Sangathan that our demands will be taken seriously and will be fulfilled. That’s why I and my colleagues from Haryana Roadways and BMS Hisar have decided to leave BMS and associate my organization with the Shramik Vikas Sangathan. We hope that Shramik Vikas Sangathan will fight for our rights shoulder to shoulder with us.”
