Best facilities assured for pilgrims under the Kejriwal Government’s Mukhyamantri Teerth Yatra Yojna: Imran Hussain

Delhi Cabinet Minister and MLA of Ballimaran Shri Imran Hussain flagged off the first batch of pilgrims from his constituency for darshan of Tirupati Balaji Temple under the Mukhyamantri Teerth Yatra Yojna today. The Minister interacted with the elderly pilgrims and was happy to know that the elderly as well as the young attendants were very delighted about the pilgrimage and lauded the Kejriwal Government for coming up with such a great initiative.

The Minister sought the blessings of the elderly pilgrims and wished them a happy journey to Tirupati Balaji Temple. The Minister assured them the best of facilities under Delhi Government’s scheme, and also asked them to spread the word about this initiative to their relatives and friends, so that more elderly citizens of Delhi can avail the benefits of the scheme.

The Minister also said that the Delhi Government is also working on adding more such pilgrimages to the Mukhyamantri Teerth Yatra Yojna.

Under the Mukhyamantri Teerth Yatra Yojna, the Delhi Government bears the cost of food, lodging, travel, which includes AC trains and accommodations for the elderly pilgrims and a young attendant with each elderly citizen. The scheme caters to people of all religions and there are about 15 pilgrimage sites. So far, over 40 thousand people from the city have gone on a pilgrimage under the Delhi Government scheme.
