Chief Minister Shri Arvind Kejriwal hosted Israel’s Ambassador to India HE Shri Naor Gilon at the Delhi Secretariat today. On this occasion, CM Shri Arvind Kejriwal said that both Delhi and Israel have the potential to work together towards ensuring peace and welfare for the humanity. At the same time, HE Shri Naor Gilon talked of the shared history of Delhi and Israel and said that he was happy to meet CM Shri Arvind Kejriwal and that he considers him his Chief Minister too as a resident of Delhi.

CM Shri Arvind Kejriwal and Ambassador HE Shri Naor Gilon held a crucial meeting today to discuss how relationship between Delhi and Israel can be enhanced over the course of time. They talked about the rich history both the countries share and how they can further be made stronger. Both the leaders also deliberated on how Dehi & Israel can help each other become more efficient and work towards positive progress and growth. Shri Arvind Kejriwal further asserted that both Delhi and Israel have the potential to work together towards ensuring peace and welfare for the humanity.

The Israeli Ambassador heaped praises of the development of Delhi in the recent past and expressed his delight on meeting CM Shri Arvind Kejriwal by saying, “I live in Delhi so Shri Kejriwal is our Chief Minister too and I am very happy to meet him.” The CM thanked the Ambassador and informed him about the welfare policies run by the Delhi Government. “Today, the people of Delhi live an easier life than most because of our programmes that seek to minimise their problems and make them feel more secure in the state. Every resident gets free education, free healthcare, free electricity and free water. On top of that, women and construction labourers get free bus transport in the city. All of this helps them lead a peaceful and dignified life.”

At the same time, the CM Office tweeted, “Israel Ambassador to India H.E. Shri Naor Gilon called upon Chief Minister of Delhi Shri Arvind Kejriwal at Delhi Secretariat today. Both Delhi and Israel will work together towards ensuring peace and welfare for the people.”
