The Kejriwal Government has decided to do a complete make-over of the Kalinga Institute of Social Sciences Delhi Government Senior Secondary Residential School (KISSDGSSRS) to provide world-class facilities to the students. Social Welfare Minister Shri Rajendra Gautam inspected the school with the officials of the PWD and the SC/ST departments today. During the inspection, Social Welfare Minister Shri Rajendra Gautam said, “Today, the children of Delhi are achieving incredible results in various professions and fields. They now hold respectable positions. It gives me immense satisfaction that the efforts made by the Kejriwal Government are now bearing fruits and we are committed to continuing our pursuit with more passion and rigour. Kalinga Institute of Social Sciences Delhi Government Senior Secondary Residential School, Issapur will undergo a complete make-over to have world-class facilities for the students. It was the dream of Babasaheb Ambedkar to see that one day we will live in an India where even the poorest of the poor child will get quality education to live a life of dignity.”

Social Welfare Minister Shri Rajendra Gautam inspected the Kalinga Institute of Social Sciences Delhi Government Senior Secondary Residential School, Issapur with the officials of the PWD and the SC/ST departments today. He visited the Senior Secondary Residential School and reviewed the progress of construction of the new hostel, kitchen and dining block on the premises. He also discussed the various issues related to the infrastructure of the school.

During the inspection, Social Welfare Minister Shri Rajendra Gautam said, “The Kejriwal Government is committed and working tirelessly to ensure that all the schools in Delhi have world-class infrastructure. Towards that respect, Kalinga Institute of Social Sciences Delhi Government Senior Secondary Residential School, Issapur will undergo a complete make-over to have world-class facilities for the students. It was the dream of Babasaheb Ambedkar to see that one day we will live in an India where even the poorest of the poor child will get a quality education to live a life of dignity. The children of Delhi are achieving incredible results in various professions and fields. They now hold respectable positions. Social Welfare Minister Shri Rajendra Gautam concluded, “When KISSDGSSRS was established in 2013, there were only three classrooms for the economically weaker students belonging to scheduled caste, backward class and minority communities. Today, there are more than 900 students in the schools. The school has an infrastructure consisting of all the facilities and the students are provided with free-of-cost boarding facilities, suvidha vardi, emergency clothes, books and daily-use supplies. The students need not pay even a single penny from their pocket for any of these facilities or resources. Currently, 57% of the students in the school belong to Scheduled Caste, 27% belong to Other Backward Class, 15% belong to minority communities and 1% of the students are orphans.”
