North Eastern States Gets Connectivity Under North Eastern States Roads Investment Programme (NESRIP)

North Eastern States Roads Investment Programme (NESRIP), approved in 2011, envisaged construction/upgradation of total 433.42 Km long roads in 6 North Eastern States of Assam, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Sikkim and Tripura. CCEA’s approval for project completion is by August, 2022 including the defect liability period of one year. All road projects are completed except one road in Tripura is going to be completed by February, 2022 under NESRIP. Nearly, 36 Lakh peoples from the villages in the vicinity of the NESRIP road projects are getting direct benefit from these roads.
