University Prelims flagged off by Skill University, top 8 students to represent the University at the Regional Round
500+ applications to participate in the National Environment Youth Parliament, Group Discussion round announced by Skill Varsity

New Delhi:
The Delhi Skill and Entrepreneurship University has begun with the University Prelims for National Environment Youth Parliament 2022. Present at the event were the leadership of the University including Prof. (Dr.) Neharika Vohra, Prof. (Dr.) Snigdha Pattnaik, Prof. (Dr.) Rihan Khan Suri and Sh. Ashwani Kumar Kansal, Registrar along with participants and other officials of DSEU.
The National Environment Youth Parliament 2022- “Nurturing Environment Leaders” is being organised by Paryavaran Sanrakshan Gatividhi (PSG) amongst Universities in all parts of the country to sensitise the youth about prevailing Environmental problems which are causing a serious threat to the safety and welfare of human beings.
Vice-Chancellor, Prof. (Dr.) Neharika Vohra, while addressing the participants and other officials of the University said “This is the first National Competition that our students are participating for and will be representing the University. We are extremely happy with the application response we have received for the University Prelims. I wish each one of you good luck for the group discussion round.” She further added, “I would like to extend a vote of thanks to Kurukshetra University for inviting our students to compete for the National event. Now that the discussion on Environmental concerns has begun amongst our students, our aim is to ensure we continue on this path and encourage our students to solve the most complex problems of the 21st century and find a way to create a sustainable future”
Pro Vice-Chancellor, Prof. (Dr.) Snigdha Pattanik congratulated all 119 participants who got shortlisted for Round 2 of the Prelims for the University. She expressed, “Environmental concerns have risen to an alarming level in the past couple of years. It is crucial to understand that we must include our coming generations in its process of preservation. You are the ones who will make the change, you will make this shift happen. My hope is for all of you to become champions of the environment. With the right knowledge, guidance, and support, it would be possible to increase the participation of our youth for finding sustainable solutions”.
“It is thrilling to see such positive enthusiasm and interest of our students towards non – academic activities and for such a crucial agenda. I urge all of you to take a pledge to create a more sustainable environment for yourself and others around you. I hope you shine at the University, Regional, and National level, inspiring your peers and making us proud.” she added.
The National Environment Youth Parliament 2022 is to be organised at three levels: University Level, Regional/Zonal Level, and National Level. At the University Level, the top 8 winners from the Group Discussion round will represent their respective Universities at the Regional Round to be organised by the Kurukshetra University on 23rd January 2022, being the regional head for Delhi and Haryana.
