BJP’s intoxication of power and repeated misuse of public assets has been exposed in the courts today. AAP Senior Leader and MCD-incharge Shri Durgesh Pathak informed that BJP Delhi President Adesh Gupta has been accused of using public land to build an illegal party office and the High Court has issued a notice to him. Shri Pathak stated — A plea has been filed in the High Court alleging Adesh Gupta has relations with the Builder Mafia. The Petitioner has claimed that Adesh Gupta amassed crores of ill-gotten wealth by misusing his power and position. Adesh Gupta must answer how such illegal construction sites are running under his patronage or resign immediately.

Shri Durgesh Pathak said, “A PIL was filed in the Delhi High Court today alleging that Delhi BJP President and MCD Councillor Adesh Gupta has encroached on public land. It alleged that his relatives Deepak Gupta and Rajat Gupta are engaged in the practice of illegal construction as well and operate as builder mafias. They all work in connivance by misusing his power and position of being a Councillor, Ex-Mayor and President of Delhi BJP.”

He added, “the plea further alleges that Adesh Gupta benefitted to the tune of crores of rupees through such illegal and immoral work. The plea lists out such places where illegal construction is taking place under his patronage. The Chief Justice of the Delhi High Court has issued a notice to Adesh Gupta and listed the matter in February. Today, Adesh Gupta must answer how is he related to Deepak Gupta and Rajat Gupta? How are such illegal construction sites running under his watch? How did the illegal site get an electricity connection? He must clarify his stand or resign immediately from all his positions.”

Plea alleges Adesh Gupta illegally constructed a party office outside an MCD school near his house

The Delhi High Court sought response of the concerned party on a Public Interest Litigation (PIL) alleging several unauthorised constructions and encroachments on public lands by BJP Delhi State President Adesh Gupta. The Plea alleged that Delhi BJP President Adesh Gupta through his associates is involved in unauthorised illegal construction over public land adjacent to municipal corporation school opposite to his residence at West Patel Nagar Delhi. It has been alleged that he used the land to construct personal/party office.

The bench of Chief Justice DN Patel and Justice Jyoti Singh on Monday sought response from Adesh Gupta, Delhi Government, Lieutenant Governor, North Delhi Municipal Corporation, and CEO BSES Yamuna. The matter has been listed for February 18, 2022 for further hearing. The Petitioner seeks court direction to LG and Delhi Government for conducting an immediate inquiry upon Adesh Gupta. The plea further alleges that Adesh Gupta has earned crores of rupees in corruption collected from Builder Mafia and spent huge amounts in properties as well as in construction work by misusing his power and position, under influence of power and position of a Councillor, Ex-Mayor and President of Delhi BJP.
