The Kejriwal government’s Business Blasters programme has become a huge hit not only in Delhi but across the country. Through the Business Blasters programme, Delhi’s government schools are all set to produce CEOs of the future. Many investors are investing in the startups of the young business stars of Delhi Government Schools, which has resulted in a huge success of the first round of the programme. Deputy Chief Minister Shri Manish Sisodia on Sunday held a review meeting with the concerned officials for the second round of the programme.

For the second phase of the Business Blasters programme, about 1,000 teams have been selected from the first round. On February 25 and 26, these teams will present their ideas at the centres established at 28 Delhi government schools, in front of a panel comprising industrialists, education department officials and members from different universities of Delhi. The panel will review these ideas, assess them on set parameters and select them for the third phase of Business Blasters.

The top 100 teams selected by the expert panel will be presented at an investors’ expo organized by Delhi Government, where the ideas will be assessed by famous successful entrepreneurs and experts from universities. Investors will be able to invest in these ideas and the members of the top 10 teams selected in the investors’ expo will get direct admission to the BBA courses in Delhi Government’s universities.

It is noteworthy that the Business Blasters programme is one of the world’s largest startup programmes wherein over 3 lakh students of Delhi government schools formed over 51,000 teams and they received seed money of Rs 60 crore. In the first phase of the programme, 1000 teams were selected at the school, zonal and district levels, with the help of different experts. These 1,000 teams selected for the second round are receiving regular guidance and mentorship from experts and industrialists. Through this programme, the Delhi Government’s vision is to prepare youths who can become job providers and not job seekers, and who can contribute to the economic development of the country.
