In its final bid to plunder Delhi, the BJP has been giving away land to NGOs owned by its leaders and robbing MCD of its assets. AAP Senior Leader and MCD in-charge Shri Durgesh Pathak stated – BJP-ruled MCD is shamelessly trying to sell off a school and elderly recreation centre in Shalimar Bagh to its own people. Despite having already sold a school in Shalimar Bagh, BJP ruled MCD is bringing a proposal to sell another school to its leaders. BJP’s inhumane anti-elderly face has been exposed today; should have at least respected the feelings of senior citizens. Senior Aam Aadmi Party Leader and MCD in-charge Shri Durgesh Pathak addressed a press conference at the party headquarters on Thursday. He said, “There are only about 1-1.5 months until the election left now. According to reports, the MCD election will take place in April. The BJP has been in MCD for the past 15 years.Every nook and cranny of Delhi is littered with garbage. Since there is nothing left in MCD except land parcels now, the BJP has begun selling all of MCD’s land. Whether it was land in Karol Bagh or the historical lands of Delhi, they sold almost every parcel of land owned by the MCD. We told the public about it numerous times, protested, and were even imprisoned.In a sheer joke of the administrative systems and the law of the land, BJP is set to present a proposal to the Standing Committee to sell school land in Shalimar Bagh. The BJP-ruled MCD has already sold a school in Shalimar Bagh but is shamelessly planning to sell another school property in Shalimar Bagh.”
He stated, “the Delhi government is constructing new schools. Today, the Delhi government is attempting to devise new methods for ensuring that children receive the best education possible. However, the MCD, which is governed by the BJP, is in the process of selling all of MCD’s schools.There is a plot of land being used as an elderly recreation centre in the UV block that these people will sell to their leaders to build a parking lot. The BJP ruled MCD has become obsessed with selling every land in sight to its own people. These people are stealing not only the school land from the hands of the poor, but also the land meant to be a source of joy for the elderly. The Bharatiya Janata Party appears to have accepted that they are no longer going to be elected to the MCD and must plunder it as much as they can.”
Shri Pathak concluded, “We earlier exposed how BJP people are giving land to their relatives in the name of NGOs. Similarly, we’ve learnt that BJP councillors, leaders, and their relatives are together attempting to take over the MCD school and entertainment centre in the next 10-12 days. The Aam Aadmi Party opposes this. I only have one thing to say to all of the officers: do not support the BJP. I know you feel compelled to support them because you are under pressure from them. Still, I ask that you, as a human being, do not support the BJP’s corruption for the sake of Delhiites. This is a matter of a couple of weeks. All of them will be imprisoned after this. The cases of all these land dealings will be investigated, as will the BJP’s corruption. AAP will bring justice to the people of Delhi.”
