The Kejriwal government is committed to provide quality education to every child of Delhi and is developing new-age innovative infrastructure in its schools. In this direction, Deputy Chief Minister and Education Minister Shri Manish Sisodia on Tuesday inaugurated Montessori Lab at Rana Pratap Sarvodaya Vidyalaya, Rajender Nagar. On this occasion, Shri Sisodia said that this Montessori lab built in Delhi’s government school and the facilities present here is first of its kind in India and is not available in any other school of the country. He added that this model will be followed by all the government schools of Delhi.

Shri Sisodia said that today under the leadership of Chief Minister Shri Arvind Kejriwal, students from socio-economic strata, are getting excellent education facilities like any developed country of the world, in Delhi government schools. In the last 7 years, the infrastructure of Delhi’s government schools has been made world-class, confidence of the teachers and academic results have improved here. Now Delhi Government will focus on Early Childhood Care Education and will make it world-class, as it is very important for the foundational development of children.

The Deputy Chief Minister said that research from all over the world shows that a lot of conditioning takes place between the time of the birth of the child till Class 2, as this is the age of foundational learning. Therefore, at this age, it is very important to bring confidence, eliminate fear and develop understanding in children. If the confidence is not developed in the children at this time, then in the coming time, the child will be scared despite being the topper. He said that we cannot be No.1 in the world by educating only higher classes, Early Childhood Education is also important to strengthen the base of India’s future

Facilities at Montessori Lab

The Montessori lab built in this school located in Rajender Nagar is divided into two parts. The lab present here is equipped with ultra modern learning-materials to encourage experiential learning and develop skills like research, communication, social thinking, self-management etc. in children. This will prepare a strong foundation for the future for them. This lab gives meaningful engaging assignments. And preferably the ones that allow students to work at their own pace. Apart from this an open area has been attached to the lab to provide sports infrastructure to young kids and develop their cognitive skills.
