BJP Leader Chinnam Rama Kotaiah and Janasena Leader Attili Raju join AAP
Senior AAP Leader and MLA Somnath Bharti felicitated both new members with caps and patka and welcomed them into the party
NEW DELHI/ANDHRA PRADESH:
The entire country is being heavily influenced by the Kejriwal Model of Development and the kind of progress that it has made in the state of Delhi. People are constantly joining the Aam Aadmi Party as a result of this phenomenal work being done by the Kejriwal Government in all sectors – including schools, hospitals, electricity, water, roads and public welfare. Former BJP leader Shri Chinnam Rama Kotaiah and JanSena leader Shri Attili Raju joined the Aam Aadmi Party today. Senior AAP Leader and MLA Somnath Bharti felicitated both new members with caps and patka and welcomed them to the party.
AAP Senior Leader and MLA Shri Somnath Bharti stated, “I hold the onus of the Aam Aadmi Party in the southern parts of the country namely – Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Puducherry, as well as Andaman-Nicobar and Lakshadweep. And such a phenomenal response has never been seen in the country in favour of any other political party. On one hand, where each and every political party is busy with its caste-religion politics, on the other hand we have Delhi’s progress-oriented model of governance which has now expanded to Punjab. Now the idea of work oriented politics has made a home in the hearts of public opinion throughout the country. People are well aware that if anyone is capable of delivering on progress and development, it is solely the Aam Aadmi Party under the leadership of Shri Arvind Kejriwal.”
He continued, “We had declared a calling throughout the country, that any person in any political party who are fed up with parties indulging in politics along the lines of religion and caste, and wish to leave; as well as wish to join the movement of the Aam Aadmi Party which focuses on work and progress, are more than welcome into our party. Today, I am thrilled to share that Shri Chinnam Rama Kotaiah who is from Andhra Pradesh, and has been a member of the BJP, is leaving the party to join AAP’s movement. He contested the Lok Sabha elections from the Pileru constituency on BJP’s ticket in 2019, and was the MLA from TDP for the Nuzvid assembly constituency in Andhra Pradesh for the years 2009-2014. He also served as the General Secretary of the trade union at HMDA for 14 years. He has also earned a doctorate in Infrastructure Development. I heartily welcome him to the Aam Aadmi Party on behalf of Shri Arvind Kejriwal. It is a matter of great pride that he has decided to quit the politics of caste and religion and joined the people and progress oriented movement launched by the Aam Aadmi Party under the leadership of Shri Arvind Kejriwal. Deputy CM Shri Manish Sisodia recently officiated him as a member and I would now like to formally felicitate him with the AAP cap and patka and welcome him to our family. I strongly believe that with his addition, we will strengthen AAP’s movement even further in Andhra Pradesh.”
He further added, “Our second new member Shri Attili Raju, who is joining us from the Janasena Party. He has been the Social Justice Convenor in the East Godavari District since 2018. Before that, he contested the assembly elections for the LokSatta Party from the Rajahmundry Rural assembly constituency. He is a graduate and I wholeheartedly welcome him to the party. Hence today, two eminent leaders have joined the Aam Aadmi Party movement and brought along a strong team of workers and volunteers along with them. Together we will work towards an all round development in the state of Andhra Pradesh.”
