NEW DELHI

As promised by the Kejriwal Government to the top performers of Business Blasters, a state of the art incubation centre is being set up at Delhi Skill and Entrepreneurship University (DSEU) to give flight to their dreams. This incubation centre at DSEU for Business Blasters will provide mentoring, training on business related topics to students, working space, registration of businesses and compliance services. Reviewing the preparations for the incubation centre, Deputy Chief Minister Shri Manish Sisodia, who holds the education portfolio said, “As compared to other startup incubators, this will be a unique space given the age of the incubatees. Some of the incubatees will be still in school while working on their startups. These students have come a long way on the basis of their abilities and now they need professional guidance to move further and establish their startups as big companies in future. As promised to them, this incubation centre will support them in all possible ways and guide them at every step of their entrepreneurial journey.”

He added that some students have already got their companies registered while some are in the process of registering. As soon as they will get incubated at DSEU incubation centre they will have enough support for a smooth entrepreneurship journey.

Ms Atishi, Chairperson, Standing Committee on Education, Delhi Legislative Assembly said, “the Business Blasters Incubation Centre in DSEU will act as a foundation for the future entrepreneurs studying in our schools from where they will be able to give right direction to their innovative business ideas. Very soon students of our schools will be counted among the top entrepreneurs of the country.”

Notably, the Blasters program was started in over 1000 Delhi government schools in the beginning of 2021 to inculcate the job provider mindset in students. Students of classes 11-12 were given seed money of Rs. 2000 each to build on a business idea, individually or in team, that generates profit, or solves a social problem .A seed capital of Rs 2000 per student per team was provided to over 3 lakh students and they came up with 50,000+ business ideas. However, only 126 could make it to the Business Blasters Expo held in Thyagraj stadium on March 5, 2022. These teams have received about 345 letters of intent from the investors who visited the expo. Of this two teams have received 20 letters of intent each.

Post this, the upcoming incubation centre at DSEU will help students get their businesses registered and provide mentorship to take their business to heights. Students interested in taking their ideas to the next level and form companies, will get incubated within this cell.
