Inspired by National Convenor and Delhi CM Shri Arvind Kejriwal’s work-oriented politics, Kuldeep Tokas from Congress Youth Wing and Senior NSUI Leader Yash Phogat joined the Aam Aadmi Party today. Senior AAP Leader and MLA Shri Somnath Bharti welcomed both the leaders and their supporters into the Aam Aadmi Party. AAP MCD in-charge Shri Durgesh Pathak, presented caps and patkas with party symbols to all of them as a gesture of induction. Shri Somnath Bharti said that — work-oriented politics of CM Arvind Kejriwal is becoming an attraction for the youth and is showing them a new path today. Hundreds of youths have joined the Aam Aadmi Party today. At the same time, Shri Durgesh Pathak said that — wherever you go in the country, people do not want to carry the burden of old parties any more. They want politics of change, they want the Kejriwal Model.
AAP MCD in-charge Shri Durgesh Pathak said, “seeing the Delhi model of CM Shri Arvind Kejriwal, the people of Punjab have elected the Aam Aadmi Party with a historic mandate. Today, wherever you go in the country, there is only one thing that the people say that something new has to be done, change is needed. For how long will these old parties be carried by the public, now there is a need for change. They say they now want to give a chance to those people who do politics to enable work. Perhaps for the first time people’s issues are being discussed in India. Earlier it was only matters of caste and religion that would get limelight. People used to abuse each other but there was never discussion of what people need. In the last 7 years, the Aam Aadmi Party has changed the politics of this country into the politics of this country’s people. The old parties did not give importance to the public at all. Today they are also compelled to talk on issues related to the public. Today they are also talking on the issues of water and electricity.”
He continued, “Influenced by the work-oriented politics of the Aam Aadmi Party, every day hundreds of people are joining the party. Yesterday, thousands of people from Jammu and Kashmir joined the Aam Aadmi Party. Today many young friends from the area of South Delhi have joined the Aam Aadmi Party. This includes lawyers, activists and social workers.”
Senior Aam Aadmi Party Leader and MLA Somnath Bharti said, “today’s moment has brought a very interesting turn in Indian politics. CM Arvind Kejriwal’s politics of work is becoming an attraction for many young colleagues across parties. On one hand parties like BJP are doing injustice to the youth. There is a lack of good education and lack of employment in the country. On the other hand, the Aam Aadmi Party has revolutionised politics, it has worked to show a new path to the youth. When the country grows, it will grow only with the help of youth. Today there is only one person who fulfills the dreams of Bhagat Singh Ji and Subhash Chandra Bose Ji for the country, it is none other than Shri Arvind Kejriwal. Often in political parties, the youth only get to work in the elections and leave after that. It is the only party, which took education to new heights. Look at the Business Blasters project of the Aam Aadmi Party, there has never been any party in history that has worked on making students learn the tricks of business.”
He added, “Yash Phogat of Congress Youth Wing is joining the Aam Aadmi Party today. Yash Phogat told me about his reason behind joining Aam Aadmi Party that in today’s political history, only Shri Arvind Kejriwal is seen as a reliable leader. There is only one person who can lead the youth, fulfill their dreams. Inspired by CM Arvind Kejriwal ji, he is joining AAP. Yash Phogat has been the Student Wing President of Delhi University’s Dyal Singh College from 2017 to 2018. In 2019, he took charge of the Lok Sabha elections for South Delhi’s Congress Candidate Vijender Singh. He held several positions in NSUI and was a candidate for the President of NSUI.”
He continued, “Similarly, Kuldeep Tokas has worked in the Congress from with former Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh ji to Prof. Kiran Walia has played a huge role during their election bids. He handled the election for Ashok Jain in 2012. In 2009-11 he took over as the Vice President of Youth Congress. He worked as Block President in Hauz Khas. He was the Youth Congress President of Hauz Khas Block in 2000-2004. Kuldeep said that the reason for him joining AAP is that this is the only party which is changing the political direction of the country. Other parties are doing politics of religion and caste. At the same time, the Aam Aadmi Party is doing politics of work. He said, CM Arvind Kejriwal held a meeting and announced the creation of 20 lakh jobs in 5 years. You can gauge the popularity of Aam Aadmi Party and Shri Arvind Kejriwal ji from the fact that when I went to Lakshadweep for party work for the first time, about 200 people came to receive me at the airport. This shows the public’s love for Shri Arvind Kejriwal. I am happy that such a large number of youth are joining the Aam Aadmi Party. I warmly welcome everyone to the party.”
