Preet Vihar SDM & Sub-Registrar jumped into action after facing the Revenue Minister Shri Kailash Gahlot’s reprimand. New ACs were installed in the public waiting area for the ease of citizens of the SDM & Sub-Registrar offices in Preet Vihar today. On June 3, the Revenue Minister had visited both the offices and expressed displeasure with the officers for the malfunctioning AC in the public waiting hall. He said that the Kejriwal Government will not tolerate any discomfort of citizens in availing public services. He had given instructions to district officials to install new AC and repair the existing ones within a week. Expressing happiness over the installation of new ACs in the public waiting hall, Revenue Minister Shri Kailash Gahlot tweeted “we are happy to inform that the new AC has been made operational in the public waiting hall and the old AC has also been repaired.”
Revenue Minister Shri Kailash Gahlot had visited Preet Vihar Sub-Registrar and SDM Office on June 3 to inspect the facility and delivery of public services to citizens. During the visit, he inspected the single window facility at the Sub-divisional office and reviewed various facilities and processes there. The air conditioners in the waiting halls for the public were dysfunctional and were causing discomfort to the public. Shri Gahlot took cognizance of the situation and expressed strong displeasure with the officers. He said, “It is not acceptable that officers are occupying air-conditioned rooms whereas the normal public has to wait in the heat.” The Revenue Minister had instructed the officials to install ACs in the public hall within a reasonable timeframe. After which 3 ACs were installed in the public waiting hall of Preet Vihar SR & SDM office today and 2 more ACs will be installed soon. Along with this, the old AC has also been repaired

Revenue Minister Shri Kailash Gahlot further said, “A large number of people visit these offices every day. When I went there, there was no AC in the public waiting hall. People were getting tired of the heat. We are happy to inform you that now Delhiites coming to Preet Vihar SR and SDM Office will get relief from the heat. New AC has been installed there. Also, the old AC has been fixed. Under the leadership of Chief Minister Shri Arvind Kejriwal, the Delhi Government is committed to provide better and more comfortable facilities to the public.”
