Education Department team of Bodoland Regional Council visits schools of Delhi to witness and understand the Kejriwal Model of Education

The team expressed their desire to implement Delhi’s Education Model in Bodoland; Deputy Chief Manish Sisodia expressed Kejriwal Government’s full-support

The Education Department team of Bodoland Regional Council visited the schools of Delhi to witness and understand the Education Model developed by the Kejriwal Government on Wednesday. The Education Department team visited two schools in Sector 10 and Sector 19 of Dwarka and was very impressed after visiting these schools. The Bodoland Regional Council team learnt about the ongoing Mindset Curricula in the schools. They were overwhelmed with the Entrepreneurship Mindset Curriculum, Happiness Curriculum and Deshbhakti Curriculum and also expressed an interest in seeking Delhi Government’s cooperation in implementing such curricula in the schools of Bodoland. Following the school visit, the team met Delhi’s Deputy Chief Minister and Education Minister Manish Sisodia. Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia expressed the Kejriwal Government’s commitment to such cooperation.

The Education Department team of Bodoland Regional Council visited the schools in Dwarka and were impressed with the Education Model developed by the Kejriwal Government. The visiting team included Director Education of Bodoland Regional Council Jagdish P Brahma, Expert Committee member on Education Padmini Brahma along with teacher trainer Debashree Kumar Brahma. Following the visit, they also met Delhi’s Deputy Chief Minister and Education Minister Manish Sisodia. During their meeting with the Deputy Chief Minister, the Director of Education Bodoland Regional Council Education Department expressed that they were impressed with the Entrepreneurship Mindset Curriculum, Happiness Curriculum and Deshbhakti Curriculum implemented in the schools of Delhi. He also praised the Business Blaster program operational in Delhi schools. He said that they wanted to implement such curricula in their schools as well. Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia expressed the Kejriwal Government’s full-support in cooperating with the Bodoland Territorial Council. He said that the children of Bodoland Territorial Council are also children of India, and this country can only develop when every child of the country has access to quality education. The dream of making India a developed country can only be fulfilled by learning from each other’s experiences. The Deputy Chief Minister of Delhi said that every state has its own specialty and its local impact should always be kept in mind while developing any curriculum.

Mr Jagdish P Brahma, Director Education, Department of Education, Bodoland Regional Council, said that after witnessing the motivation of the teachers while visiting the schools in Delhi, they learnt that to improve the quality of education, training of teachers should also be focussed upon. He said that 25 teachers from Bodoland have previously also visited and witnessed the Education Model of Delhi and are working with a different spirit after their return. The Deputy Chief Minister said that the teachers in Delhi have only guided the children and these children have created wonders. The Deputy Chief Minister also played a Business Blasters video to the Education Department team. The Education Department team of Bodoland Regional Council was very impressed with the Business Blasters program. He said that they have a lot of scope as well, but nothing in this direction has been developed. He expressed that they would also want to implement the Education Model like Delhi’s Education Model.
