Virat Kohli has slipped to 7th position in the latest ICC World Rankings for batsmen after losing a place.

ICC Latest Test Rankings: Indian skipper Virat Kohli has slipped a place to 7th in the batsmen’s list in the latest ICC World Rankings while Australia’s Marnus Labuschagne has replaced England captain Joe Root in the Ashes series thanks to his superb form. Became number one batsman. India’s Rohit Sharma remains in fifth place. Among bowlers, Ravichandran Ashwin still holds the second position behind Australian captain Pat Cummins. Kohli, who played in the second Test against New Zealand, was at the sixth position earlier but is now in seventh place with 756 points.

Labuschagne has risen to the top of the ICC rankings for batsmen for the first time on the back of his impressive performance in the two matches he has played in the Ashes series. He was fourth before the series but had moved up two places to second after scoring 74 in Australia’s win in the first Ashes Test in Brisbane. But he scored a century and half-centuries (103 and 51) in Adelaide as Australia beat England by 275 runs to take a 2-0 lead in the Ashes series.

His teammate Mitchell Starc managed to break into the top 10 of the Test bowlers’ rankings with a performance of six for 80 (four in the first innings) in the second Test. He has reached ninth place.

In the ranking of T20 International players, Pakistan captain Babar Azam has again regained the top position in the list of batsmen. He was able to make a comeback a week after losing the first place. He slipped two places to the third spot in last week’s ranking update after scoring zero and seven runs in the first T20 International against the West Indies.

In the last T20 International, he played a brilliant innings of 79 runs as Pakistan made a clean sweep against West Indies in the series. With this, he jointly tops the ranking with David Malan. His fellow opener Mohammad Rizwan climbed to the third position in the batsmen’s rankings with a career-best 798 rating points. The new vice-captain of India’s limited overs team, KL Rahul, is the fifth-ranked best Indian player. There is no Indian bowler in the top 10 in the list of T20 bowlers.
