New Delhi. Organizers of the Beijing Winter Olympic Games have made arrangements to keep their waste in the bio-bubble in an exercise to prevent contact between the players and the outside world. Officials said that a team of special staff would be entrusted with the task of collecting and transferring the garbage inside the bubble so that there is no way for corona infection to reach inside the bubble. These games will start from February 4.
Ma Boyang, in charge of planning and operation at the Olympic Games Village, said the waste would remain at the temporary collection site, which would then be sent elsewhere. Concerns about the safety of players have resurfaced amid the proliferation of the Omicron variant. Organizing committee spokesman Yan Jiarong said health officials were monitoring the situation, although he said the current safety measures have gone through rigorous scientific evaluations and have been very effective.
