AAP MLA Somnath Bharti welcomed the new members to the Aam Aadmi Party by felicitating them with caps and patka
NEW DELHI:
People are constantly joining the Aam Aadmi Party witnessing the historic work being done by the Kejriwal Government in all fields, including schools, hospitals, electricity, water, roads, and WiFi. As a result of this, AAP Senior Leader and MLA Shri Somnath Bharti today welcomed Congress leader Haji Aamil Malik and BJP leaders Suresh Bhardwaj and wife Saroj Bhardwaj to the party by felicitating them with caps and patka. Adil Khan, the chairman of Azadpur Mandi from the Aam Aadmi Party, was also present.
AAP Senior Leader and MLA Shri Somnath Bharti said, “Today’s day is a very significant one. There is now a movement throughout the country of governance which is public oriented. The messiah of this movement, Shri Arvind Kejriwal and his Aam Aadmi Party are emerging as the top most choice for people in the country. Our journey began in 2012, and we have now reached a stage where earlier the people of the BJP would say ‘If not Modi, then who?’ – and people would be speechless as no one wanted to take Rahul Gandhi’s name – the answer to this question has arrived. People have started saying, ‘If not Modi, then Kejriwal’. This journey has not been a simple one. Delhi’s development model has shown that when the government’s intentions are clear, then anything is possible. The dream that Babasaheb saw to give equal rights to everyone was realised to an extent through the Delhi Government’s education model. It showed that without spending any money, the highest quality of education can be available to the rich and the poor. The way that the biggest parties are contesting elections in Punjab, Goa, Uttarakhand, UP copying Aam Aadmi Party’s issues like health, electricity, and water. But as Shri Arvind Kejriwal said, these other parties can make promises all they want, but only we know how to implement these reforms, only the Aam Aadmi Party knows how to deliver on its word.”
He continued, “This is a new kind of governance, which is purely work and progress oriented, with influence from neither religion nor caste politics. Hunger has no religion or caste, neither does education or people’s troubles. The messiah of such politics Shri Arvind Kejriwal’s Aam Aadmi Party is being joined by members from the Gandhinagar and Karawal Nagar assemblies. These party workers have made great efforts to work in their own assemblies, in their own parties, with no result or recognition. The problem in these two parties is that their own relatives take up all leadership positions, not giving common volunteers any chance to flourish. In our Aam Aadmi Party, a common man is now a CM candidate. You can look to Goa, Punjab, or Uttarakhand. This form of politics has ignited a hope in India and its people, thanks to everyone’s beloved Shri Arvind Kejriwal.”
Welcoming the new members to the Aam Aadmi Party, he said, “When major politicians join a party, it is a different environment, a different reason behind it. But when a booth level worker switches parties, it means that real change is happening. Haji Aamil Malik from Karawal Nagar Vidhan Sabha, who joins us today, was the Block President from Congress in his assembly. He also served as the General Secretary for the Baburpur district. A person who has worked on the grassroots level is the one who really writes the destiny of their people. Today, I am elated that a booth worker has joined the Aam Aadmi Party, the party of Shri Arvind Kejriwal. I wholeheartedly welcome him to the party.”
He added, “The other new workers joining our party today are Shri Suresh Bhardwaj and his wife Smt. Saroj Bhardwaj from the Gandhinagar Vidhan Sabha. Shri Suresh Bhardwaj has been a member of the BJP since 1969. He was a BJP district executive member in Shahdara until recently. He worked as the booth coordinator for the Gandhinagar assembly from 2014 to 2021. In 2007, he was the BJP District Minister for Shahdara. From 2000 to 2005, he was the Raghuvarpura Mandal BJP President. Aside from that, he has carried the charge of important BJP positions for several years. Smt. Saroj Bhardwaj, his wife, is also a member of the Bharatiya Janata Party. She has also devoted a significant portion of her life to the BJP. From 1995 to the present, she has served in a variety of important positions within the BJP. She has served as the Raghuvarpura Mandal BJP committee president since 2012. In the 2012 corporation election, she ran as an independent candidate for municipal councillor in Ward 236 Raghuvarpura and received 1862 votes. Aside from that, she has borne the charge of many other important positions.”
Shri Somnath Bharti concluded, “I extend a warm welcome to all on joining the Aam Aadmi Party. I am deeply elated that the grassroot workers of BJP have become a part of our party today, and have joined the honest and progressive politics of Shri Arvind Kejriwal.”
