NEW DELHI

Influenced by the historic work being done by the Kejriwal government in all areas including schools, hospitals, electricity, water, roads, and WiFi, people are actively joining the Aam Aadmi Party. Shri Durgesh Pathak, the Aam Aadmi Party’s MCD in-charge, today welcomed BJP politician Priya Chaudhary and Congress leader Pawan Sharma into the party. Shri Jai Bhagwan Upkar, the AAP MLA from Bawana assembly, inducted everyone in the party through an investiture of cap and patka. AAP’s Azadpur Mandi Chairman Shri Adil Khan was also present at the event.

AAP MCD in-charge Shri Durgesh Pathak said, “The Delhi government has achieved incredible and historic milestones in the last seven years. Arvind Kejriwal Ji has been a trailblazer in setting up models to accomplish it all, from eliminating corruption to establishing a stellar education model, then establishing a model for health infrastructure, and finally revolutionising development in the rural countryside. Even Delhi’s unauthorised colonies, which were orphaned for the longest time, have been cared for and have improved.”

He added, “Today, Priya Chaudhuri Ji, a National Media Panellist of the Bharatiya Janata Party, who was elected Vice-President from Delhi University with record votes in 2011-12, is the State Secretary of Mahila Morcha, in addition to voicing the voice of India’s young in roughly 6 countries is joining us. I am overjoyed because I believe she is one of those individuals who aspire to accomplish something noble in politics. I was talking to Priya Ji a few days back and asked her why she entered politics. She explained that I was in college and didn’t know much at the time, but that I decided to fight elections, but that as I gradually learned more, I realised that politics is a sacred thing. And if there is one medium through which we can help the people of this country in the truest sense, it is politics. If a person is in politics and their platform is robust, they can do a lot.”

He added, “Also joining us is Pawan Sharma, who has had a long association with Congress. From 1998 to the present, he has vigorously pursued all positions in the Congress. He served as the Congress General Secretary of District Babarpur in 2016. From 2005 until 2008, he served as the Congress’s Ghonda constituency Vice President. He worked for the party in the corporation elections in 2002. Pawan Sharma is a social worker as well and is still actively assisting others. He actively distributed ration packets, masks, and sanitizers to the underprivileged during the Corona era.”

Priya Chaudhary said, “The Aam Aadmi Party truly provides opportunities to individuals who wish to do good. I am grateful to this party for recognizing my passion and allowing me to channel it appropriately. We want to do a lot of things, but we get caught up in petty politics and can’t get anything done. When it comes to the Delhi BJP, it walks around swollen in a misplaced sense of pride. It has little regard for its members. I quickly joined the Aam Aadmi Party to escape the same suffocation.”

Pawan Sharma stated, “I’m joining the party today after being impressed by the Aam Aadmi Party’s rapid development work in Delhi. By joining the movement to end the party’s corruption, I want to work for the people. Will remove corruption in MCD and build an Aam Aadmi Party government there as well.”
