One school appreciated for exemplary performance, whereas Principal of other school served with show cause notice for laxity

Unique corridors developed in GGSSS Kirti Nagar to portray Entrepreneurship, Happiness and Deshbhakti Curriculums

Deputy Chief Minister Shri Manish Sisodia who holds the education portfolio on Friday paid a surprise visit to GGSSS Kirti Nagar and Government Co-Ed School I-Block Karmpura and checked the progress of various educational activities going on in the schools. During the inspection, he also discussed studies with the students.

Education Minister appreciates efforts of developing a positive growth mindset in students

The Happiness Curriculum, Dehbhakti Curriculum and Entrepreneurship Mindset Curriculum were started by the Kejriwal Government to develop a positive growth oriented mindset among the children studying in the government schools of Delhi. The Deputy Chief Minister found that in GGSSS Kirti Nagar that all these mindset curriculums are being implemented brilliantly by the school and appreciated the efforts of school management.

The school has developed 3 corridors using the school resources in a very unique way. The school has created an EMC corridor to inculcate the understanding of this curriculum among children, while the aim of the Happiness Corridor is to make the children learn to be happy through various activities. The school has constructed the Deshbhakti Corridor to inculcate the feeling of patriotism in the children and to express their gratitude towards the martyrs. Children in the school have also created a ‘Gratitude Wall’ to express their gratitude towards each other. Along with this, a herbal garden has also been developed in the school with the collective efforts of its teachers and students.

School administration served notice for laxity

During the inspection in Government Co-Ed School I-Block, Karampura, it was found that even though the new building is ready in the school, children are still being taught in the old building. Taking immediate cognisance, the Deputy Chief Minister ordered the officers to issue show cause notices against the head of the school. The Deputy Chief Minister said that there are such great facilities in the school, yet children are not able to take advantage of it, this is a serious case of laxity. He instructed the officials that the students should be shifted to the newly constructed classrooms at the earliest.
