NEW DELHI

Delhi Deputy Chief Minister and Education Minister Shri Manish Sisodia will visit Gujarat’s government schools on Monday to expose the dilapidated condition of the BJP’s education system. He will also seek to understand the issues of students, teachers and parents better. This announcement by the Senior AAP leader has come after Gujarat Education Minister Jitubhai Vaghani’s insensitive remark of, “those who have issues with the state’s education system may leave Gujarat and go to Delhi”. Slamming him for his blatant remarks about the state education system, on Friday, Shri Manish Sisodia said that this is a shameless remark by a person who heads the Gujarat education system and is responsible for managing it. This shows that the BJP leader is accepting the fact that his party has done nothing to transform the state education system in Gujarat in the past 27 years. This shows the arrogance of the Education Minister who has the power in hand but is least bothered about the need for quality education for all in the state. People of Gujarat are being forced to either live with the poor governance model of BJP or leave the state if they are dissatisfied.

A tweet by Shri Sisodia on this has also received a huge response from the public of Gujarat as well as the country. While addressing a press conference on the same, Senior AAP Leader Shri Manish Sisodia said that this statement by Gujarat Education Minister has not gone well with the youth of Gujarat who have bashed him badly on twitter for making such inconsiderate remarks about the state education system. The youth of Gujarat stated that the Education Minister has no insights about the crumbling education system and unemployment scenario in the state. Some have even appreciated the Delhi education model and mentioned that they want the same education revolution in Gujarat too.

Questioning the BJP government in Gujarat along with Education Minister Jitubhai Vaghani about their vision for the development of the state, Shri Sisodia said, “When the government will not build schools and improve education system, it will not provide employment to youth, then what is BJP’s vision for development in Gujarat? Being impressed by the Kejriwal model of governance, now people of Gujarat have made up their mind. They have decided that they will give a chance to Kejriwal in upcoming elections and will bring his model of governance in Gujarat too.”
