Inspired by Chief Minister Shri Arvind Kejriwal, Congress Senior Leader and Ex-Delhi University President Arun Hooda joined AAP today. He was welcomed by AAP Rajya Sabha MP and Haryana in-charge Shri Sushil Gupta. On this occasion, he said, “CM Shri Arvind Kejriwal’s policies, education model, and pro-youth schemes are attracting youth leaders all over India. Youth across India want the country to change for good and eliminate corrupt politics. AAP’s work in Education, Healthcare, Electricity and Water Supply is being praised not just in India but all over the world. While, Shri Arun Hooda said that he resolved to join AAP and commit himself to good politics after seeing AAP Convenor Shri Arvind Kejriwal’s politics of nation building, employment and development. He asserted that only AAP can breach BJP’s fortress in Haryana and build a pro-farmer government.
MP Shri Sushil Gupta said, “The family of Aam Aadmi Party Haryana is continuously increasing day by day. Youth all over India want that the country should change for good and the politics of corruption should end. Apart from this, politics of caste and religion should be eliminated from the country and politics of work should take its place. Delhi and Punjab are changing for good. Seeing our work in the field of education, healthcare, electricity, water, today people not only in India but all over the world praise the Aam Aadmi Party. Being the capital of India, students from all over the world come here now.”
He added, “after being inspired by the Aam Aadmi Party and CM Shri Arvind Kejriwal, senior Congress leader and former Delhi University President Arun Hooda has joined the party. While in the All India Congress Committee, Arun Hooda was an observer for the assembly elections of Rajasthan, Delhi, and Uttarakhand. Apart from this, he was co-in-charge of NSUI in Rajasthan and spokesperson of Haryana Youth Congress. He has been working as a strong link while holding other positions in the Congress.”
He continued, “Influenced by Shri Arvind Kejriwal’s policies, education model, schemes being run for the youth, he has joined the Aam Aadmi Party. His father Ajay Pal Hooda has been the President of All Haryana Cooperative Bank Employees Federation. His family is engaged in social work. While living in politics himself, he has been working inside all of the states including Haryana.”
After joining the Aam Aadmi Party, Shri Arun Hooda said, “National Convenor of Aam Aadmi Party and Delhi Chief Minister Shri Arvind Kejriwal took a pledge to establish good politics in the country and by being influenced by the nation building policies, model of development, model of employment for students and youth, I am joining the Aam Aadmi Party. The Aam Aadmi Party is spreading all over the country and is moving towards transforming this country. Farmers, youth and women are being tortured today. In such a situation, my associates and I have collectively resolved to join hands with Kejriwal ji with a vision to change this. There is a very bad environment in the country today. While the youth are unemployed, the farmers are also troubled gravely. The youth of the country is completely unemployed. Prime Minister Modi was playing the rattle of crores of jobs, he has not been found till date. At the same time, Shri Kejriwal has created new dimensions of employment. Delhi is being established as a model for the whole country. When it can happen in Delhi, it can happen in Haryana, Rajasthan and the whole country. That’s why along with me all my friends too are joining the Aam Aadmi Party. This party is also sympathetic to the farmers and can break the BJP’s fortress in Haryana and form the government of the farmers.” Aam Aadmi Party’s Haryana co-in-charge Shri Mahendra Chaudhary was also present at the time.
Who is Arun Hooda?
Arun Hooda has held many important positions in the Congress. Former Indian Air Force pilot Arun Hooda was the President of Delhi University from 2012-13. Apart from this, he has been the observer of Okhla assembly as well as in Uttarakhand assembly elections 2022, Rajasthan assembly elections 2018 and Delhi Pradesh Congress Committee. Has been co-in-charge of NSUI Rajasthan till 2017-18. Along with this, he has been the spokesperson of Haryana Youth Congress till 2018-19. He was the President of the Faculty of Law Unit of NSUI in 2011. If we talk about studies, apart from B.Tech, he has done LLB, LLM, and Diploma in Forensic Science.
