We have to uproot malpractices and corruption from cooperative societies – Rajendra Pal Gautam
New Delhi
Cooperatives Minister Shri Rajendra Pal Gautam inaugurated the training session organised by the Registrar of Cooperative Societies in Delhi today. On this occasion, he congratulated all the officers for organising this training session. This 3 day training session will be covering 25 administrators/officers per batch.
He addressed the officers highlighting the importance of the training session and said, “Before becoming a good doctor, a medical student has to train under a professional doctor. Similarly, before becoming an advocate, law students also have to train with a senior advocate. I am happy that today the cooperative societies understood the importance of a training period and organized a training session for all the officers and employees. I congratulate all the officers of the department for this.”
The minister also said that from this training session, all the officers will be able to settle all the pending cases at the earliest. This will also reduce the workload on the department.
Shri Rajendra Pal Gautam also emphasized on the evils going on in cooperative societies. He said, “Often the officers and politicians are blamed for the malpractices in the cooperative society. But it is not so. Sometimes the management gives rise to corruption due to their selfish interests. Many officers also indulge in nepotism and favoritism. We have to throw such malpractices out of the whole system. For this the training program has been organized so that all the officers should be made aware about these things and we should not create further opportunities for such employees who encourage corruption.”
Further, he also directed the officers to focus on helping the citizens and strengthen the cooperative movement.
